Your journey begins with a visit to the iconic White Temple before crossing the Thai-Lao Friendship Bridge, where you’ll spend your first night in Huay Xai. Cruise down the Mekong on a traditional slow boat, stopping at secluded riverside villages to discover authentic Lao culture. Relax overnight in Pakbeng before continuing your voyage. On the final day, explore Ban Muang village, famous for producing traditional Lao whisky, and marvel at the sacred Pak Ou Caves filled with thousands of Buddha statues. Arrive in the charming UNESCO World Heritage city of Luang Prabang, ready to explore its rich history and culture.

Program details
Day 1: Chiang Mai - Huay Xai
09:00-09:30 am: Pick up by shared air-conditioned van.
12:00 pm: Visit White Temple. (Entrance fee and lunch not included).
Remark : The van transfer from Chiang Mai to Huay Xai will be shared with other guests traveling to Huay Xai city.
Day 2: Huay Xai - Pakbeng
08:00 am: Breakfast at hotel (included).
09:00–09:30 am – Pick up from your hotel, transfer to the pier, and board the boat.
Morning – Arrive at Pak Tha for the boat checkpoint. Your guide will explain important travel guidelines in Laos and share interesting local insights.
Lunch – Enjoy a traditional Lao meal served on board.
Afternoon – Visit Banking Law, a traditional Kamu village with about 70 families. Experience the simple, authentic lifestyle of this remote community before continuing to Pakbeng.
05.00 pm: Overnight in Pakbeng (not included)
Day 3: Pakbeng - Luang Prabang
08:00 am – Depart from Pakbeng.
Morning – Your guide will demonstrate traditional local handicrafts and show you how to prepare authentic Lao desserts and drinks.
Lunch – Enjoy a delicious Lao-style meal served on board.
Afternoon – Visit Ban Muang village, renowned for its traditional Lao whiskey. Continue to the Pak Ou Caves, home to over 2,000 Buddha statues. Savor freshly made desserts and refreshments along the way.
4:30–5:00 pm – Arrive in Luang Prabang.
Remark : From November to February,it can get cold during the cruise,do not forget to bring a jacket.

Please be informed that due to current border regulations between Thailand and Laos, travelers holding passports from the following countries are not permitted to cross the border at Chiang Khong – Huay Xai checkpoint: Israel, Philippines, Türkiye, and Indonesia. Therefore, travelers with passports from these countries cannot join this tour from Thailand to Laos.

Hotel pick-up and drop-off within a radius of 5 km from the Three Kings. Monument.
It is possible to leave luggage and suitcase on the boat and take only small daypack for your overnight in Pakbeng.
If you are outside the pick-up radius, please fill out the reservation form for pickup at McDonald's Im Thapae. Address: 17/1 Kotchasarn Rd., Chang Khlan Sub-district, Mueang Chiang Mai District, Chiang Mai 50100. The actual pickup will be in front of the restaurant.
Insurance: To ensure insurance coverage for accidents, we kindly request a copy of your passport. Please send it to us via email or WhatsApp at least one day before the tour begins.
Reservations are required at least two days in advance. For last-minute bookings one day before tours start, kindly contact us.
