White Temple – Wat Rong Khun

Blue Temple – Wat Rong Suea Ten

Visit Wat Rong Suea Ten, famous for its dramatic blue-and-gold architecture. The deep blue colour used throughout the temple creates a striking contrast with the golden decorative details. Inside, you will find elaborate murals, detailed Buddhist artwork, and an impressive white Buddha image. The temple combines traditional Buddhist themes with a modern artistic style, giving it a distinctive character of its own.

Wat Huay Pla Kang

Explore Wat Huay Pla Kang, a large and visually impressive temple complex in Chiang Rai. The area is best known for its towering Guan Yin statue, distinctive multi-tiered pagoda, and spacious temple grounds. The architecture combines Thai and Chinese influences, creating a style that is noticeably different from the other temples on the itinerary. The elevated location also offers open views across the surrounding countryside.

Golden Triangle

Visit the Golden Triangle, one of northern Thailand’s most historically significant border areas. This is where Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar come together, with the Mekong and Ruak rivers forming natural boundaries between the countries. From the viewpoint, you can look across the river toward neighbouring Laos and Myanmar. The area is also closely connected with the history of the opium trade, which once played an important role in the region before the Golden Triangle developed into a major sightseeing destination.

Mekong River Boat Ride – Optional

For a different view of the Golden Triangle, you may choose to take an optional boat ride on the Mekong River.
Enjoy views of the surrounding border landscapes from the water and experience the Golden Triangle from another perspective.
Guests who do not wish to take the boat ride can spend additional time exploring the Golden Triangle area.

The boat ride is optional. The boat fee is THB 300 per person and is payable directly on the day.
