1.After arriving at the Slow Boat pier, you can reach the Laos   immigration office by local transportation. 

• After arriving at Huay Xai Slow Boat Pier, you may arrange local transportation to the Laos Immigration Checkpoint on your own. If you prefer a pre-arranged transfer, you can select a Private Tuk-Tuk (max 8 pax) or Private Van (max 10 pax) when booking.
• The price is per private vehicle, not per person or per seat. When selected, the entire vehicle is reserved exclusively for your booking.
• The transfer ends at the Laos Immigration Checkpoint before crossing the Friendship Bridge. The Friendship Bridge shuttle bus ticket is not included.

2.Travel time from the Slow Boat pier to the Laos Border Control and Immigration Office: 20 minutes

3.After finishing Laos  immigration, you’ll need to take a bus across the 4th Thai-Lao Friendship Bridge(20 minutes): 30,000 LAK.

4.The Thai and Laos borders close at 08:00 PM.

5.After clearing Thailand immigration, you have two options:

5.1 Stay in Chiang Khong City: This border city in Thailand offers convenient accommodation options.

• Transportation to Chiang Khong city:
  • Shared taxi: 60 THB per person.
  • Private taxi: 200 THB.

5.2 Travel to Chiang Rai Downtown: If you plan to continue to Chiang Rai on the same day, it's recommended to choose the private taxi option. It takes 2 hours.

• The boat ticket must be kept for 2 days. If you lose your ticket, you will need to buy a new one yourself. We cannot replace or reissue lost tickets.

• Boat ticket from Luang Prabang to Pakbeng.
• Boat ticket from Pakbeng to Huay Xai (Slow Boat pier).
• Hotel pick-up and drop-off within a radius of 3 km from the night market in Luang prabang.
• Please provide your hotel information in Luang Prabang City, along with your billing details. We will verify whether the location is within our service area and promptly notify you.

• Accommodation and meals in Pakbeng (1st night).
• Immigration and/or overstay fees in Laos or in Thailand
• Exemption holders must pay this fee directly at the Laos border control.
• Beverages, personal expenses, and tips
• Other expenses not mentioned above
