Your journey begins with a convenient pickup from your hotel in Luang Prabang to the pier, where you'll embark on a traditional Lao boat (Shompoo Cruise). As you travel, visit remote villages and immerse yourself in the rich local culture. The next morning, continue your voyage with a visit to Ban Muang village, renowned for its Lao whisky, followed by a tour of the historic Pak Ou Caves. After an overnight stay in the charming town of Pakbeng, your trip concludes with your arrival at Huay Xai. From there, cross the border into Thailand on the same day, ending your unforgettable journey in Chiang Rai.

This tour starts in Luang Prabang, Laos.
Day 1: Luang Prabang to Pakbeng
06:30 - 06:45 AM: Embark on your adventure with a convenient van pickup.
07:00 AM: Set sail from Luang Prabang by Shompoo Cruise, cruising upstream on the serene Mekong River toward Pakbeng. Enjoy a delightful continental breakfast on board.
Morning Excursion: Discover the mystical Pak Ou Caves (Tham Ting), home to over two thousand Buddha statues. This sacred site is a major pilgrimage destination for the Lao people.
Lunch: Savor a traditional Lao lunch set served on board.
Afternoon Activity: Our knowledgeable English-speaking guide will give a captivating lecture on the diverse ethnicities of Laos.
Evening Arrival: Reach Pakbeng before nightfall and settle in for an overnight stay(hotel not included).
From November to February, it can get cold during the cruise,do not forget to bring a jacket.
Day 2: Pakbeng to Huay Xai
07:00 AM: Board the boat for an early departure. Please ask your hotel in Pakbeng to provide a takeaway breakfast box to enjoy on board.
Morning Demonstration: Enjoy a delightful demonstration by our guide and cook on preparing traditional Lao desserts and local drinks, which you'll get to taste later in the afternoon.
Late Morning Excursion: Visit the charming Kamu Village (Ban Kaeng Lae), home to around 70 families. Experience the authentic rural lifestyle in this remote area.
Lunch: Indulge in another delicious Lao traditional lunch set served on board.
Afternoon Treats: Relish the homemade desserts and drinks prepared by our team and fellow travelers.
04:30 PM: Arrive at Huay Xai pier. You have the option to continue your journey to Thailand on the same day.
05.00 PM: After Huay Xai Pier, we will transport you to Laos Immigration via local transportation,Huay Xai pier to Laos Immigration take 30 mins.
 End of Service
    Note:
Upon completing immigration procedures, you'll be required to board the bus for the journey across the 4th Thai-Lao Friendship Bridge. (20 Mins)
06.30 p.m. If everything is in process. After clearing Thai immigration, you have two options:
Stay in Chiang Khong: This border city in Thailand offers convenient accommodation then travel to next city nextday.
     Transportation from the border to Chiang Khong City ,There is a line in front of the exit where you can buy a ticket by yourself.
By shared taxi: 60 THB per person.
Private taxi: 200 THB.
   2. Travel to Chiang Rai Downtown: Experience the vibrant atmosphere of Chiang Rai city by taking a private taxi.From the Chiang Khong border to Chiang Rai downtown, it takes 2 hours.

You’ll get a full refund if you cancel at least 7 days prior to the travel date.

In the event of a force majeure or unforeseen event such as bad weather or cancellation by our business partner(s), we reserve the right to cancel the tour. In this case, you will be given the option to reschedule or request a full refund.
Refunds will be made via cash or bank transfer. Any bank fee that occurred will be deducted from the refund amount.
No refund for no-show and last-minute cancellation for all reasons to maintain our competitive price as your seats cannot be resold.
