Slow boat: 3 days, 2 nights

Day 1

• We start our journey at 9:00 - 9:30 am with Air-conditioned van from Chiang Mai.
• Along the way, we'll visit the stunning White Temple 

         ( The entrance ticket fee and lunch are not included.)

Note: Sometimes, we may not be able to stop at the temple during peak hours or if it is too late on the way to the border. In such a case, we will stop at a local restaurant on the way instead.

• 04.00 pm. Crossing the border by bus

         (The bus border fee is covered.)

• 05.30 pm. Accommodation at Huay Xai, Laos.

Rooms are based on double occupancy (2 persons per room). Guests booking together will stay in the same room. Solo travelers will share a room with another traveler by default unless the private room option is selected (+400 THB, paid on the travel day).

Day 2 

• 07.30 -8:00 AM—Take a taxi to Na Toey Railway Station.
  (Approximately 5 hours on a dirt road.)
• Stop for lunch and toilet break at a local restaurant. (1 hour)
• 6:00 PM – Board the train and enjoy the scenic ride.
  (Food and drinks are available for purchase on the train.)

• Arrival options:8:00 PM—Arrive in Luang Prabang, a UNESCO World Heritage City.

End of program: Chiang Mai to Luang Prabang

• 10:00 PM—Reach Vang Vieng, surrounded by mountains and nature.

End of program: Chiang Mai to Vang Vieng

• 12:00 AM (Midnight) – Arrive in Vientiane, the laid-back capital with French-style charm.

End of program: Chiang Mai to Vientiane

Shared taxi to the city center are available at  the station for approx. $3-5 .

• Departure times may change.After receiving your train ticket, please confirm the exact time directly with your guide at the station. ⏰

• Train tickets are non-refundable

• Tour cancellation: 50% fee if canceled 3+ days before travel

📌 Important Info

• E-visa or visa-on-arrival available for most nationalities

• The train includes clean restrooms and a food counter

• Cash only onboard: THB, LAK, or USD accepted (no credit cards)

  Luggage Policy :

  Each ticket includes 2 bag
  Extra bags will be charged 100 - 150  THB per piece, payable to the driver on the day of travel. Unpaid or unregistered bags cannot be loaded onto the van.

Exclusion:

• Ticket and lunch at the White temple. 
• Laos Visa fee: 1,800 -2,000 THB or $40 USD (cash only) If you use USD, the bills must be in perfect condition — not torn, dirty, or old. Only new bills are accepted.  
• Visa photo (If you don’t have a photo, you can inform our team. We offer a photo service for 100 THB, 2-inch photo.
• A tourist tax of approximately THB 70–100 applies. E-visa and visa exemption holders must pay this fee directly at the Laos border control.

• Visa & Arrival Card (Laos – Land Border): Even with a Laos e-Visa, travelers entering via Friendship Bridge 4 must complete the paper arrival card at the Lao border. Online arrival forms apply to air arrivals only.
