Itinerary
Day 1: Chiang Rai – Chiang Khong – Huay Xai
02:00–02:30 PM – Begin your slow boat journey from Chiang Rai to Luang Prabang with a hotel pick-up in Chiang Rai.
04:00 PM – Arrive at our office near the Chiang Khong border, where our team will assist you with visa documents and border procedures.
Note: Travelers with an eVisa must still go through immigration together as a group. A Laos tourist tax of approximately 70–100 THB applies.
05:00 PM – After entering Laos, our local staff will transfer you to your hotel in Huay Xai for an overnight stay before your river journey the following day.
Day 2: Huay Xai – Mekong River – Luang Prabang
06:40–07:10 AM – Hotel pick-up and transfer to the boat pier.
08:00 AM – Board the slow boat to Luang Prabang and enjoy a peaceful seven-hour cruise. Along the way, take in the scenic landscapes and observe daily life along the Mekong River.
Stop at Pak Ou Caves (approximately 40 minutes) – A sacred limestone cave filled with thousands of Buddha images.
05:00–06:00 PM – Arrive at the Luang Prabang pier and enjoy complimentary transfer to your hotel, concluding your journey from Chiang Rai to Luang Prabang by slow boat.

This tour requires a minimum of 25 participants to operate. If the minimum number of travelers is not met, guests will be notified at least one week prior to the scheduled departure date.

Exclusion:
- Laos Visa fee: 1,800 -2,000 THB or $40 USD (cash only) If you use USD, the bills must be in perfect condition — not torn, dirty, or old. Only new bills are accepted.
- Visa photo (If you don’t have a photo, you can inform our team. We offer a photo service for 100 THB, 2-inch photo.

- Visa & Arrival Card (Laos – Land Border): Even with a Laos e-Visa, travelers entering via Friendship Bridge 4 must complete the paper arrival card at the Lao border. Online arrival forms apply to air arrivals only.
- Laos tourist tax (approximately 70–100 THB; applies to e-visa and visa exemption holders; payable directly at Laos border control)
- Infants (0–2 years old): Free of charge, but a 1,200 THB administrative fee per infant applies. Payable to the local guide on departure day for documentation and insurance.
- Drinks on the boat (water, soft drinks, and alcoholic beverages are not included)

- Rescheduling may incur a fee if requested on short notice.
- In the event of a force majeure or unforeseen event such as bad weather or cancellation by our business partner(s), we reserve the right to cancel the tour. In this case, you will be given the option to reschedule or request a full refund.
- Refunds will be made via cash or bank transfer. Any bank fee that occurs will be deducted from the refund amount.
- No refund for no-shows and last-minute cancellations for all reasons to maintain our competitive price as your seats cannot be resold.
