Overview
Discover a captivating 3-day, 2-night journey from Chiang Mai to Luang Prabang, cruising along the scenic Mekong River. Begin with a visit to the White Temple and cross the Thai-Lao Friendship Bridge, staying overnight in Huay Xai. Enjoy a traditional Lao boat journey, visiting remote villages and experiencing local culture, with an overnight stay in Pakbeng. Conclude your journey with visits to Ban Muang village, known for its Lao whisky, and the Pak Ou Caves, arriving in the historic city of Luang Prabang.

Program details
Day 1: Chiang Mai - Huay Xai
- 09:00-09:30 am. pick up by air-conditioned van.
- 12:00 pm: Visit White Temple. (Entrance fee and lunch not included).
- 03:00 pm: the Thai-Lao Friendship Bridge for the 4th (fee included).
- Overnight in Huay Xai City (hotel included).
Remark : The van transfer from Chiang Mai to Huay Xai will be shared with other guests traveling to Huay Xai city.
Day 2: Huay Xai - Pakbeng
- 08:00 am: Breakfast at hotel (included).
- 09:00-09:30 am: pick up from hotel, then transfer to pier, then get in the boat.
- Morning: Arrive at Pak Tha for a boat permission checkpoint. Our guide will present the Do's and Don'ts in Laos and fun facts
- Lunch on the boat (Lao traditional meal).
- Afternoon: Visit a traditional Kamu village (Banking Law), a tiny, cosy place that hosts about 70 families. Travellers will learn about rural lifestyles in a very remote area, then continue to Pakbeng.
- 05.00 pm: Overnight in Pakbeng (not included)
Day 3: Pakbeng - Luang Prabang
- 08:00 am: Depart from Pakbeng.
- Morning: Guide demonstrates local handicrafts. Prepare Lao desserts and drinks.
- Lunch on the boat (Lao traditional meal).
- Afternoon: Visit Ban Muang village, famous for Lao whiskey. Visit Pak Ou Caves with over 2,000 Buddha statues.
- Enjoy homemade desserts and drinks.
- 04:30-05:00 pm: Arrive in Luang Prabang.
Remark : From November to February,it can get cold during the cruise,do not forget to bring a jacket.

- Lunch and entrance fee at White Temple.
- Accommodation and meals in Pakbeng (2nd night).
- Laos Visa fee: 1,800 -2,000 THB or $40 USD (cash only) If you use USD, the bills must be in perfect condition — not torn, dirty, or old. Only new bills are accepted.
- Visa photo (If you don’t have a photo, you can inform our team. We offer a photo service for 100 THB, 2-inch photo.
- Tourist tax (approx. 70–100 THB) must be paid directly on the Laos side.

- Visa & Arrival Card (Laos – Land Border): Even with a Laos e-Visa, travelers entering via Friendship Bridge 4 must complete the paper arrival card at the Lao border. Online arrival forms apply to air arrivals only.

Please note the following:
- Pick-up time may be delayed due to traffic.
- This itinerary is subject to change due to weather or interruptions.
- All the timings provided are approximate.
- This tour includes travel insurance provided by the operator.
- Tours may start in Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, or Laos. Please check the tour details before booking.
- Please make sure to enter the exact hotel name as shown on Google Maps when booking, so we can arrange your pick-up correctly.
- If your group made separate bookings, please provide all booking references at least 2 days before the travel date. We cannot guarantee seats in the same vehicle without this information.
- Please provide a WhatsApp-enabled phone number so our team can contact you easily on the day of the tour.
- If you have a flight after the tour, please inform us. Airport drop-off is not included, and travel times may vary due to traffic.

Cancellation Policy:
- For transport or admission tickets, booking is required at least 3 days in advance to secure availability.
- For tours, please book at least 2 days in advance. For bookings made within 1 day of the travel date, please contact us first to confirm availability.
- A passport copy is required for train tickets and special-event tickets. Please email it to us after booking.
- Train tickets, admission tickets, and special-event tickets, including Loy Krathong tickets, are non-refundable once purchased.
- Tour cancellations made at least 2 days before the travel date are eligible for a full refund, less any non-refundable payment processing, bank, or transaction fees.
- Tour cancellations made less than 2 days before the travel date and no-shows are non-refundable.
- Payment processing fees, credit card fees, payment gateway fees, bank charges, and other transaction fees are non-refundable and may be deducted from the refund amount.
- Refunds will be processed through the original payment method whenever possible. If this is not possible, an alternative refund method will be arranged.
- In the event of force majeure or unforeseen circumstances, such as severe weather, unsafe conditions, or cancellation by our business partner(s), we reserve the right to cancel or modify the tour. If the tour is cancelled by us, guests will be offered a refund or an alternative arrangement, as applicable.
From October 2025 to April 2026, departures will be every Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
